HOW DID KIDS TEACHING KIDS START?

Our first-ever sponsored event got many kids moving and building their confidence in Burbank, CA several years ago. In true peer-to-peer fashion and style, my good 11 year-old friends at the time, Janelle Ginestra and Bobby Edner (both hip-hop dance and choreography extraordinaires), led and taught a weekly gathering group of youngsters the latest and greatest hip-hop moves. Several dance studios around Universal City, CA hosted this explosive duo who actually chose to give back a portion of their proceeds to Joe's World Foundation (now named Dream Camp Foundation).

Understanding and giving began early with these two special people and we all (I, Joe, was a student then, too!) are so grateful to them for sharing their talent and expertise back then, and even now in all the wonderful things they do!

"Dance is important to me because it makes me happy. Happiness is the key to life, and without the love of dance I would not be the joyful, energetic person I am today."
